The Sydney SupaNova 2014 will take place on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of June.

The Australian Cartoonists' Association (ACA) will have a table at SupaNova Sydney and I'll be helping out on both the Saturday and Sunday.

Cartoonist extraordinaire, and ACA President Jules Faber will be there as well as other ACA Members. I'll try to publish an official list soon.

There will be books from ACA Members on sale (and maybe book signings), maybe a few free caricatures as well...

Drop by and say hello!

Dinner with Terry "Aislin" Mosher

Last night, the Australian Cartoonists' Association (ACA) was proud to welcome Terry "Aislin" Mosher, a very talented Canadian cartoonist currently visiting Australia.

Aislin's work can be seen on his Website.

About 30 people attended the dinner in Aislin's honour. He gave a very good talk about cartooning in Canada and it was a great chance for ACA Members to meet again.

A big thank you to Steve Panozzo and Lindsay Foyle for organizing the event!

A few photos taken on the night are below:

Australian Cartoonists' Association: 2013 Year Book

View the 2013 Year Book

Each year, ACA Full Members can display artwork in the "Year Book". The book is then compiled, printed and sent to all ACA Full Members along with a voting form. Each member can then vote for their favourite cartoonist in each of the categories. An independent company collects and tallies all the votes and the awards are announced during the Stanley Awards' weekend.

Why don't you have a look at the amazing artwork in the 2013's Year Book...

See the latest work from our members in the annual Stanleys Year Book, download it to your smart device, computer or laptop now as a PDF.

Cartoons Galore! Exhibition: PopUp Event, Sunday afternoon, 01/09/2013

That's it, it was the last day of the Cartoons Galore! Exhibition. Three of us were there, representing the Australian Cartoonists' Association, for the last PopUp Event from 2pm to 5pm: Tim McEwen, Rob Feldman and me.

It was a lot quieter than Thursday night, but then again, it was Fathers' Day, which meant that it must have been a slow day for Top Ryde City in terms of customers.

A lot of people however stopped to talk to us and check what we were up to. Basically, we were drawing live and answering questions. The kids' reactions to people drawing live is interesting, as their faces light up!

All the feedback I have received is positive and the Cartoons Galore! Exhibition has been a big success for the Hungry for Art Festival and for Top Ryde City. Hopefully, we can have a similar (or different) event next year!

Below are a few photos taken today. Click to enlarge...

As part of the Cartoons Galore! Exhibition, the "Hungry for Art" Festival Organizers asked the Australian Cartoonists' Association to have two "PopUp" events after the official Launch last Saturday.

The first PopUp event was tonight and entertaining the public were Jock Brodie, Rob Feldman, Nathan Seabolt, Regine "Jinberry" Clarke, Paul Caggegi and Christophe "Hagen" Granet.

Below are photos taken tonight. Boy we've been busy and I am so grateful these amazing people were there with me tonight to represent the Australian Cartoonists' Association!
